Dr. Bradley G. Nevins, Ph.D., ABPP
Co-Developer of the InnerScience Personality Report | Board-Certified Clinical Psychologist | Author of Applying Personality-Informed Treatment Strategies to Clinical Practice
Dr. Bradley G. Nevins is a board-certified clinical psychologist, author, and expert in personality assessment and treatment strategies. Dr. Nevins is the author of Applying Personality-Informed Treatment Strategies to Clinical Practice: A Theoretical and Practical Guide, a book that provides clinicians with effective, personality-informed interventions. His expertise in personality dynamics, psychotherapy, and psychological assessment led him to co-develop this innovative personality test alongside Dr. Ming Him Tai, a psychometrician specializing in personality measurement and adaptive testing. Together, they have created a scientifically rigorous assessment that goes beyond traditional personality tests, offering a deeper understanding of how personality traits shift in different situations and providing practical strategies for self-improvement.
Throughout his career, Dr. Nevins has been at the forefront of clinical practice, psychological assessment, and mental health education. He has served as Clinical Director and Co-Founder of Midwest Psychological Services, overseeing multidisciplinary mental health teams and providing clinical supervision to therapists. His experience extends to private practice, hospital-based settings, and faculty positions, where he has trained future psychologists in personality theory, psychotherapy, and psychological assessment.
He earned his master’s degree in counseling psychology from Loyola University Maryland and his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University – Los Angeles. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the University of Southern California. He is a licensed psychologist, a National Register of Health Service Psychologists provider, and holds board certification in Clinical Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP).
Dr. Nevins’ passion for personality science has driven him to develop an assessment tool that is both clinically sound and accessible to the general public. Unlike conventional personality tests that provide static labels, this test examines how personality traits adapt under stress and in positive life circumstances—offering a more nuanced and dynamic view of personality functioning.
